Anticipatory Set |
An anticipatory set is an activity that gets students excited about the lesson - it can be a fun game, manipulatives, a video, a discussion - and it activates their previous knowledge and gets them prepared to learn. It should be relevant to the lesson you are about to introduce. What an anticipatory set is NOT is just telling the students what the lesson is going to be.
